Scott Pilgrim vs. the World This highly stylized, seriously inventive movie about a nerdy semi-loser who plays bass in a band called Sex Bob-Omb, has a girlfriend named Knives Chau and falls for a mysterious multicolor-haired girl wowed critics but bob-ombed at the box office.
If you missed it in theaters, catch it on disc—even though star Michael Cera’s battles with his new love’s seven evil exes gets a little old by the second half, filmmaker Edgar Wright’s colorful, creative take on the graphic novel will keep you watching til the end.
