There's been a lot of buzz surrounding Harmony Korine's latest film, Spring Breakers. Most of the attention has been focused on the bikini-clad leads – Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine – and the corn-rolled, grill-wearing hoodlum played by James Franco.

If you've watched Korine's previous projects, like Kids (screenwriter only; directed by Larry Clark) or the more recent Trash Humpers, you already have some idea of what to expect. For the uninitiated, the best way to describe Korine's style is that he operates without a filter. That can be good when it comes to the numbingly crude Kids and uncomfortably boring with works like Gummo and the aforementioned Trash Humpers.

Spring Breakers is exactly what the title suggests. Four young ladies go wild during Spring Break and end up getting mixed up with unsavory types, including Franco.

The film premiered last year at the Venice Film Festival where it picked up a Golden Lion nomination. Following stops at Toronto and Oslo film festivals, Spring Breakers is slated to arrive in theaters on March 22.
