Vision Paul Bettany Avengers: Infinity War

Last spotted: Vision was seen in a hospital, looking over the body of James Rhodes. During the battle between Iron Man and Captain America, the android was so distracted by Wanda’s injuries that he inadvertently blasted War Machine out of the sky, causing permanent spinal wounds.

Recent movements: Though he didn’t side with Captain Rogers, Vision went underground with Wanda after Cap rescued her from The Raft. For the first time, he’s experiencing what love is and has pursued a romance with the telekinetic enhanced individual. After all, they share a powerful connection: the Infinity Stone that granted Wanda her reality-altering abilities is also lodged in his forehead.

Appearance: All those heroes now evading government detection have changed their appearance, but Vision’s is more significant. His latest disguise looks most like Bettany, including the look of human flesh.

“You either travel to different Mardi Gras around the world or Halloween, you’re golden —  Halloween, it’s [Vision’s] night out — or you discover the ability to change your appearance with nano-technology,” Bettany said.

Current whereabouts: Vision and Wanda were attacked by Promixa Midnight and Corvus Glaive, two members of the Black Order trying to obtain the Mind Stone for their master, Thanos. Though they were rescued by Captain America and Black Widow, Vision was “skewered” and forced to travel to Wakanda for surgery. Shuri, a master handler of vibranium, certainly has the knowledge to heal Vision, who’s made up of vibranium.

However, Vision’s arrival in Wakanda also means Thanos’ forces will attack the nation in order to obtain the Mind Stone from Vision.

Can Vision die?: What does it mean for Vision if Thanos were able to claim the Infinity Stone from his head? “That’s a very big question,” Bettany said, “and one that troubles…”

“That we explore in the movie,” Elizabeth Olsen interjected.

“Yeah,” Bettany continued. “One that troubles Vision and Wanda a lot. I don’t know what to do about that.”

Additional intel: “The cost and the danger that we’re all facing becomes more important than a certain beef that people had in the past because it’s so desperate. The point of the Avengers and, by extension mankind, it’s fraught with danger. So I think old grudges are buried and put off until next time.” — Paul Bettany
