To a gang of criminals, it seems like such a simple plan: Kidnap an underworld boss’ daughter and hold her for ransom overnight until the money comes through. But there’s something the captors don’t know: The child is a vampire, and she’s not happy with the whole kidnapping situation.
In our exclusive clip below, the captors learn what they’re up against. That simple plan doesn’t look quite so simple anymore.
Abigail is based on old-school Universal monster movies like Dracula’s Daughter, and it sits firmly in that universe. It’s directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (aka Radio Silence). They directed the most recent Scream movies, so they know a little something about taking a new look at the classics. Stars include Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens and Kathryn Newton, with Alisha Weir as the title character.
