Vin Diesel voices the giant alien robot who crash-lands on earth in this animated retelling of the Ted Hughes' children’s classic. Although Diesel plays a “big” part he only delivers a miniscule 53 words in the entire movie!
Jack And The Beanstalk (2009) Rating: G
Christopher Lloyd plays Jack’s head master at fairy school in this live-action version of the classic Grimm’s tale — and who better to voice The Giant than the man with the giant voice, James Earl Jones?
Big Hero 6 (2014) Rating: PG
Plus-sized inflatable robot and healthcare profession Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes. Includes a huge star-studded cast including James Cromwell and Maya Rudolph.
James And The Giant Peach (1996) Rating: PG
In another Roald Dahl classic a boy goes off to live in a magical giant peach. According to Dahl, the fruit was originally going to be a cherry but he switched to peach because they’re "prettier, bigger and squishier.”
Big (1988) Rating: Pg
Geared more toward parents, this classic Tom Hank’s vehicle about a 13-year-old boy who finds himself in a grown man’s body serves as a cautionary tale to all those who are in a hurry to grow up.
Ghostbusters (1984) Rating: PG
While the original Ghostbusters wasn’t exactly for kids, one scene brought us all back to our childhood in the form of a gigantic, murderous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Wouldn’t be SO bad if there was a huge hot chocolate bar nearby.
