She's been stunning and strong support to some of Hollywood's biggest stars. Now with NBC's new drama series Blindspot, up-and-comer Jaimie Alexander (Sif in the Thor movies and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D TV show) is stepping out of the shadows of superheroes and into the spotlight. In the show, which premieres September 21, she plays a woman covered in mysterious tattoos with no memory of who she is. Lets count down some of the reasons we can't wait to see more of this exciting actress.

She brought girl power to Asgard.

In both Thor and Thor: The Dark World, Alexander represented brave and bold women everywhere as the sword-wielding and smart Lady Sif, loyal friend and sister-at-arms of the titular superhero.

Our Favorite Moment: We're partial to Sif's dodge-and-headshot strategy, but her real talk moments with the impetuous Thor are likewise admired.

She took big action to the small screen.

Last year, Alexander brought the thunder to the MCU TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., facing off against Asgard's evil enchantress Lorelei.

Our Favorite Moment: Hands down it's when Alexander showed a bunch of brawny bikers is no match for her warrior woman, Sif.

Alexander has Arnold's back.

High Noon with muscle cars and a gonzo amount of guns was the recipe for Kim Jee-Woon's The Last Stand. There, Alexander played a dead-eyed deputy devoted to Arnold Schwarzenegger's over-the-hill yet unfailingly courageous sheriff.

Our Favorite Moment: After a brutal brush with death, Deputy Sarah Torrance dusts herself off to take up a sniper position and provides crucial coverage to her fellow cops.

Girl rocks it on the red carpet.

At Thor's premiere, she made a knowing nod to her character's armor with a metallic dress that was as shiny as it was stylish. But for the sequel, Alexander took her fashion to a higher plane and thrilled the photogs with a peekaboo black dress.

Our Favorite Moment: Every. Single. One. Enviable poise, a flawless figure and a radiant confidence made this risky number a gamble that paid off big.

She does a mean Chewbacca.

While promoting Blindspot at San Diego Comic-Con, the charismatic Alexander busted out her best Wookie call. Sure, everyone has a Chewie impersonation up their sleeve, but this actress throws in both hands to get that growl down pitch perfect.

Our Favorite Moment: She followed it up with a yodel, because our lady (Sif) has talents untold.

She cares about kids

Around Thanksgiving 2013, Lady Sif herself showed up to sign autographs and hand out gifts to kids at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles

Our Favorite Moment: Every one. How awesome is it to surprise these kids by showing up in costume, no less?
