It's that time of the year again -- time for some of the biggest upcoming movies to invade downtown San Diego for one of the world's nerdiest conventions: San Diego Comic-Con.

This year's Comic-Con promises to bring it, with films like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 all expected to march into the 6,000-seat Hall H with their stars and a bunch of new footage that can only be seen by those in attendance.

And that's where we come in.

Join Fandango for the next few days as we bring all of the best parts of this year's San Diego Comic-Con straight to you and your geek-friendly heart. From interviews with the stars to instant buzz on all the big movie panels, we've got your Comic-Con fix right here. Let's dig in!

The 5 Biggest Movies Coming to Comic-Con

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

When: Thursday, July 9 - 12:00pm, Hall H

What: The final Hunger Games movie arrives in theaters this November, but before it does expect Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and her crew to show up at Comic-Con bringing all sorts of goodies, like extended footage and more than a few clues as to how the franchise will wrap it all up later this year.

Scoop: Director Francis Lawrence is already convinced Mockingjay - Part 2 will pack the biggest gut punch of the entire franchise, teasing to EW that "It's probably the most emotional of the bunch. And I think it's the most satisfying of the bunch."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

When: Friday, July 10 -- 5:30pm, Hall H

What: Star Wars fans have been anticipating this Return of the Jedi sequel for 30 years, and now those lucky enough to sneak themselves into Hall H will get a fresh look at one of the biggest films to land in theaters in decades. Director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy will both be on hand (including some special guests -- we wouldn't be surprised if the original-trilogy trio of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford make an appearance) and fans are hoping they'll bring a helping of new footage to add to the two earth-shattering teaser trailers currently online.

Scoop: According to EW, there won't be any new clips or a new trailer, but there will be a bunch of behind-the-scenes footage as well as cast members who haven't spoken publicly about the movie yet. Could we see Lupita Nyong'o or Adam Driver?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

When: Saturday, July 11 -- 10:30am, Hall H

What: With Marvel Studios skipping Hall H this year, it's DC's turn to absolutely wow the Comic-Con crowd -- and you bet Warner Bros. is going to bring out the big guns. Yup, Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) are all on their way to San Diego as we speak, and maybe they'll even bring some of their Justice League pals with them -- we're looking at you Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Flash (Ezra Miller). So far we've only see one tiny teaser trailer (check it out below), which means director Zack Snyder has been saving some of the juicier stuff for the fans hungry enough to trek out to Southern California to see it.

Scoop: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice won't be the only DC movie that has a presence at Comic-Con. Word is we could see the cast of Suicide Squad show up with a first look at that film, due out on August 2016, and if they really wanna bring down the house we'll get some kind of Justice League tease, too.

Warcraft

When: Saturday, July 11 -- 2:30pm, Hall H

What: Director Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon) and other guests will bring a fresh look at one of next summer's most anticipated adventure movies, especially for longtime fans of the popular role-playing game.

Scoop: Also on tap as part of this Legendary panel is a new, exclusive look at Guillermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak, due out October 16.

X-Men: Apocalypse

When: Saturday, July 11 -- 5:30pm, Hall H

What: Sliding into the spot usually occupied by Marvel Studios, 20th Century Fox will no doubt bring a show-stopper, like our first look at next year's X-Men: Apocalypse, a film that will conclude a trilogy of X-Men movies that began with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past. With the film currently in production, expect director Bryan Singer to bring fans a care package that includes footage and surprise guest appearances.

Scoop: Fox's panel won't just be about the next X-Men movie -- in fact, we predict news on multiple X-Men movies, including Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine film and Channing Tatum's Gambit. Aside from the X-Men movieverse, might Fox bring a little somethin'-somethin' for the next Planet of the Apes movie? Stay tuned!

The One Movie That Might Steal the Show

Deadpool

When: Saturday, July 11 -- 5:30pm, Hall H

What: The one 20th Century Fox movie we didn't mention above is the one that might actually steal the show. Deadpool, due in theaters on February 12, is the rare superhero film that's promising a hard-R rating, remaining true to the character's funky-fresh comic roots. Ryan Reynolds reprises the role (having played an alternate version in X-Men Origins: Wolverine), only this time he's wearing Deadpool's iconic red-and-black suit and bringing a lot more of Deadpool's warped sense of humor to the role.

Scoop: Are you a big Deadpool fan? Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld will be hiding 24 original Deadpool pieces all over Comic-Con. To get clues as to where you might be able to find one, follow Rob on Twitter @RobLiefeld throughout Comic-Con.

The Most Anticipated Comic-Con Return

The Hateful Eight

When: Saturday, July 11 -- 1:30pm, Hall H

What: Quentin Tarantino makes his triumphant return to Comic-Con following a fantastic panel a couple years ago for Django Unchained. This time he's here with The Hateful Eight (due out this December), a movie he calls "bleak" but most definitely "the funniest snow Western ever made."

Scoop: Tarantino will be joined by much of his cast, with Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell (and his awesome mustache, we hope), Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Walton Goggins and more.

One Cool Experience Outside the Convention Center

Get chased by zombies in a pedicab

One way to get around downtown San Diego is via pedicab, and this year those who travel in pedicabs may get the extra incentive of being chased by zombies. Paramount is staging a fun experience for the upcoming movie Scouts vs. Zombies that allows those traveling in pedicabs to be literally chased by zombies. Wanna get in on the action? Just look for the zombies chasing poor, unsuspecting congoers.
