A young band, half from England and half from the U.S., who drop out of college and move to Los Angeles and the Sunset Strip to chase their musical dreams. Living in a van, their passion and talent exceed their means to survive. Popular real life musicians Andy Black (of the band "Black Veil Brides") plays the lead singer Johnny Faust, and Ben Bruce is the lead guitarist, in the fictional group. An enigmatic stranger, played by the legendary Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Mozart in the Jungle), sees the group's true potential. He emotionally manipulates them and offers the group a deal that will set them on a path of fame, fortune, and ultimately dark destruction.
